EVERGREEN REHABILITATION
CENTER
"Making a lifetime difference, one day at a time."
MISSION STATEMENT:
"Making a lifetime
difference, one day
at a time."
The mission of  the  Staff of Evergreen Rehabilitation Center is to provide
effective leadership, planning, administration, and coordination for
Correctional Chemical Dependency Treatment, recovery, and integration
into society through our services.  Our services will meet or exceed
approved  professional standards, and we will document client and
program performance.
CORE VALUES:
In 1985, a North Carolina Legislative Research Commission reported that
(1) over 67% of criminal offenses are directly  connected to alcohol and
drug use,
(2) treating addiction is imperative since most offenders will eventually
leave prison, and
(3) punishment alone does not work. The commission
proposed an act to establish a substance abuse program for inmates. Soon
thereafter, two statutes were amended, and a Department of Correction
Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency Program were created.
VISION STATEMENT:
We the employees of Evergreen Rehabilitation Center envision our
organization providing an effective and comprehensive chemical
dependency program and services with professionalism, honesty, and
integrity to our clients and stakeholders.  We envision a staff that is
committed, prepared, competent, diverse, and loyal who are afforded
opportunities to achieve personal professional goals.  We will consult and
collaborate with all of our stakeholders to provide opportunities for
successful recovery and community integration that enhance citizenship and
successful recovery and community integration that enhance citizenship and
public safety.
